Entropy Solutions Adds Two to Board of Advisors

Rafik Bishara, Ph.D., and Jack McGuire to advise on pharmaceutical, biologics and blood industry issues

 MINNEAPOLIS — May 7, 2008 — Entropy Solutions Inc., a thermal technology development company, today announced two additions to its Board of Advisors: Dr. Rafik Bishara and Jack McGuire. Dr. Bishara is chairman of the Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Interest Group (PCCIG), Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), and will advise Entropy on issues related to cold chain management and best practices in temperature control of life science products. Mr. McGuire is the former president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the American Red Cross, and will advise Entropy on issues surrounding the blood and plasma industry (see complete biographies below).

About Rafik Bishara

Rafik H. Bishara, Ph.D., is the current chairman of the Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Interest Group (PCCIG), Parenteral Drug Association (PDA). Dr. Bishara was a member of the Board of Directors for Sensitech Inc. from 2005-2006, when it was acquired by Carrier Corporation, and continues to serve as a technical advisor today. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Kodiak Thermal Technologies, Inc., as a temporary advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO), and on the Editorial Advisory Board of American Pharmaceutical Outsourcing Journal. Dr. Bishara is the recipient of the PDA’s 2007 Distinguished Service Award, the IQPC’s 2008 award for Most Significant Contribution to Cold Chain Excellence, and the School of Health Sciences, Purdue University, 2008 Distinguished Alumnus Award. Recently, Dr. Bishara retired from his position as director of Quality Knowledge Management and Technical Support at Eli Lilly and Company after a 35-year career.

 

About Jack McGuire

Jack McGuire is currently an adjunct professor at Dartmouth College, and most recently served as president and CEO of the American Red Cross. Previously, McGuire was president of Whatman Filtration Products and president, CEO and director of Hemasure Blood Filtration Products. He is currently a board member for several organizations, including the National Blood Foundation Trust Fund, LEK Consulting, Cambridge Heart, Twin Pines Housing Trust and the Somali Mam Foundation, and also performs consulting work for Insigniam Performance. McGuire holds a MBA from Harvard University and is a retired Captain from the United States Maine Corps.
